Hasan Yılmaz, the author of the book named “Sinema Sadece Sinema Değildir/Cinema is not just cinema” gave a seminar on History of Turkish Cinema for the students of Marmara Private Vocational Anatolian High School, who study on Radio and Television on Friday, March 3. Mr. Yılmaz, starting the speech with the shooting process of the documentary named Ayastefanos’taki Rus Abidesi’nin Yıkılışı (1914) by Fuat Uzkınay, talked about Muhsin Ertuğrul Period movies, Geçiş Çağı Directors and Sinemacılar Çağı Directors. Hasan Yılmaz, mentioning the first themed movies of Turkish Cinema history and showing the first movie “Yün Eğiren Kadınlar” shot by Manaki Brothers in 1905, ended his speech by talking about the important directors and movies of contemporary Turkish Cinema.
