History of International Baccalaureate Organization

The International Baccalaureate Organisation was founded for the first time in 1968 in Geneva, Switzerland as a non-profit organisation. Needing to be completed in two-years, the IB Diploma Programme is an academically perfect, comprehensive, international educational pro-gramme. In all the schools where it is implemented, equal international standards are applied and student’s achievement is measured rigorously.

The headquarters of IBO is located in The Hague, whereas the Programme assessment centre is in Cardiff.
