Usually, 12^th grade students have a hard time imagining and comprehending the “Oscillation” concept, which is the first concept of 1^st term 1^st unit Waves subject of IB-HL physics course. In order to prevent this and increase students’ attention to the course we set up a sand pendulum in the lab. We acquired very good visuals. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot during the experiment. As a result, all the students in the class learned about the oscillation movement through a real sand pendulum and by experiencing.
