This course is specific to the IB Diploma Program and should be studied over at least 100 hours spread across the two-year curriculum. Origins and validity of different types of knowledge are studied in the Theory of Knowledge course. Students learn to develop personal perspectives so as to engage in discovery and the creation of knowledge. The interdisciplinary TOK course is designed to provide coherence by exploring the nature of knowledge across disciplines, encouraging an appreciation of other cultural perspectives.
