Educational Achievements

Marmara Private Primary and Secondary Schools have attended the English Language Proficiency Tests organized by Cambridge University and have gained great accomplishments since it was established. 

  • These tests are international ones implemented by British Council throughout the world and are the most reliable tests in terms of test standards at international level.
  • As Marmara Private Elementary school, a large number of our students attend these tests and gain overachievements every year.
  • The students of Marmara Private Elementary and Secondary Schools have results above the averages of Istanbul and Turkey in general.

Naime Önal, attending the European Youth Parliament (EYP) 18th Turkish Selection Conference was entitled to represent our country abroad.

Our students took part in Marmara University Inter-High School Debate Tournament, hosted by Yeditepe University between 28 – 29 November 2015, with the four groups named Hain Kostok, Voldemort, Sauron and Darth Vader. Among these teams “Voldemort” established by Melisa Ulufi, the student at 12 IB and Melisa Erben, the student at 11 B became the finalist by eliminating its rivals in the tournament in which the fantastic topics were debated besides the economy, politics, law, health and democracy
Following the students who want to test their proficiency in English by having the IELTS exam in May, our students had Anglia and Cambridge FCE exams on Saturday, 06.06.2015. We wish that our students who studied to certificate their English language proficiency internationally and had the exams in Common European Framework of Reference would receive recompense for their labor.

Doğa Tekneci, the student at Marmara College 11-D passing the exams for International Rotary Exchange Program will be educated in America for 12th Grade. Doğa Tekneci, passing successfully the series of exams within the scope of Long Term Youth Exchange Program of Rotary Foundation will continue her high school education in America between 1 September 2015 and 30 June 2016. Doğa Tekneci, fulfilling successfully the 1st Orientation Camp in February will attend the 2nd Orientation Camp in July where she will have the most important trainings.

Our students having FIT in Deutsch exams organized by Goethe Institute received their certification in A1 and A2 level. We congratulate our students.

Didem Erben, Cansu İpek, Erkan Karaman, Melissa Candan, Bora Urçar, Ceren Erdoğdu and  Murathan Bayrak, the students at 10A Class Marmara Private College attended İstanbul Eliminations Destination Imagination under the guidance of the biology teacher Aslı Didem Demircan between 28 February – 1 March 2015. Our team won the third award in İstanbul eliminations for CHALLENGE C: FINE ARTS task which was one of seven open ended tasks which ensures that the students carry out work in improvisation, theater skills, writing, project management, innovativeness, team work and community service practices besides science, technology, engineering and mathematics practices.

The students of Marmara Private College attended Harvard Model Congress (HMCDubai), held for the third time in cooperation with Harvard University and Dubai American University between 22-24 January as the delegates. In the conference, the simulation of United Nations meetings, the issues including ‘There relations between America and Pakistan’, ‘Attitudes towards the migrants due to the terrorist attacks in America and around the world and the status of the foreign students in the country were discussed.

Three students from Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School came in first in three branch 4th Turkey Value Awards Maltepe District organized within the main theme of ‘Charitableness’ by Ministry of National Education and Ensar Foundation Values Training Center across Turkey including public and private schools.

Melisa Demir, the student at 12/A class came in first in the district with her project  “Hayalimi Paylaş” in the category of ‘Value Award’; Burak Sezer Yıldırım, the student at 12/A class came in first in the district with his project “Hayalim İstanbul” in short movie in the category of  “Work Award”; Buse Çelik the student at 11/A class came in first in the district with her affiche named ‘The best gift is smile’ in the affiche category.

Turkey Value Awards aims to create awareness in the students and society in terms of moral values, to raise consciousness by reviving the basic values good for the society and individuals, to support the social and emotional development of the student, to raise individuals having universal, cultural and moral values and who are confident, happy and successful.

Büşra Ayoub, our student at 11th grade came in second in Maltepe with her story named  “Gözlemleyen” in the story competition named “Türkçem Benim Ses Bayrağım” organized within the scope of 13th May Language Day.
