RELATIONS WITH PARENTS

School-Family Collaboration

School-family collaboration is among the prerequisites of education. We can achieve our objectives so long as we can provide our children’s development and change them positively as part of our roles. For this reason, it is important for us to provide an efficient parent-school communication and an ideal environment for information sharing. Acting in unison and monitoring the child’s development will only be possible with the active participation of both sides.  

Healthy school-parent communication about matters such as the students’s attendance and absence, the attention she/he pays to follow the school rules, the monitoring of her/his academic and social development, her/his health conditions and transportation, etc. is an integral part of education. We expect our parents to pay attention to participate the meetings, seminars and other events announced by the school in line with the assigned schedule and to be attentive to the students’ conformity with the clothes and appearance regulations of the school. We believe that when all these efforts come together, we will yield better and permanent results in the name of education.

A. MEETINGS WITH THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

Our parents have the opportunity to meet with the school administrators in every day of the week. Apart from exceptional situations, our parents may get an appointment for meetings with the school administration.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

The parent-teacher meeting schedule announced to our parents at the beginning of every academic year is programmed with the intention of creating an informative, problem-solving and efficient environment for students and parents. In line with this meeting schedule our parents regularly meet the teachers and by this way can monitor the student’s academic standing and develop strategies with the teachers to increase the success level of the students, which are of great importance for the development of the student. Parent-teacher meetings begin two weeks later than the beginning of each semester and end two weeks before each semester ends.

Parents’ Meetings

Two general parents’ meetings are held within the academic year. The meetings are held at the very weekend of the interim report card week. The main objective of parents’ meetings is to provide parents the opportunity to evaluate their students’ academic standing at the level of each course in company with teachers.

Psychological Counsellor – Parent Meetings

Our students’ social, emotional and mental development, adaptation to the school and academic performance is observed and monitored in collaboration with all the teachers. Psychological Counselling and Guidance department make interview with students and parents when regarded necessary. Our parents who want to interview with Psychological Counselling and Guidance Center may get an appointment for every weekday.

B. WRITTEN ANNOUNCEMENTS / BULLETINS/ SMS / COMMUNICATION BOOK

The school administration conveys written announcements via students. Besides, SMS messages are sent to the cell-phones of our parents to convey some announcements. That our parents carefully read these announcements and pay attention to send timely response to the documents to be responded is important for both our students and the general operation of the school. When our parents have trouble about announcements, they are expected to get in touch with the school administration or the class teachers. Our students are responsible for delivery of the written announcements to the parents.  

C. SEMINARS FOR PARENTS – GROUP WORKS

Within the academic year various seminars on development, education and psychology are held in line with our parents’ requirements. It is important for our institution to provide a high level of participation to the seminars.
