Our Social and Cultural Activities

PROMOTIONAL WORKS

We make research on an animal each month with our students. We watch the thematic Powerpoint presentations prepared by our teachers, we design masks and make animation studies.

With our middle level children, we make researches about a profession field every month. We watch the thematic Powerpoint presentations prepared by our teachers, we design masks, make animation studies and host individuals from these Professional field in our school.

With our upper level (preschool) children, we make researches about a country every month. We watch the thematic Powerpoint presentations prepared by our teachers, listen to the local musical pieces of these countries, we design costumes and masks, and prepare dance performances.

Our children are informed of a composer every month. Our music teachers give information about that particular composer’s life and works, and our children listen to her/his music pieces during music claases and in other activity hours. You can follow our “composer of the month” activity from parent bulletins.

 

KITCHEN ACTIVITIES

We prepare delicious meals and cookies with all age groups every month.

 

SCHOOL TRIPS

We organize entertaining and educational school trips to various places in line with our curriculum and our principle of learning by observation, investigation and experience.

 

FILM and DOCUMENTARY SCREENING

In film and documentary screening days, we watch various visual materials in stars classrooms with the purpose of having good time while developing good manners, making observations, obtaining information and arousing our interest.

 

DRAMA

Drama is a way of moral education and a significant socialization medium helping the individual in acquiring a character and identity, in organizing her/his relations with others around, in learning the importance of cooperation. In order to constitute a drama culture in our students, we watch various private theatre groups with their educational, instructive and entertaining performances that develops the creativity and imagination of our students.

 

TRADITIONAL PLAYS

Play is a medium that support the physical, cognitive, lingual, social and emotional development of the child. Rather than today’s mechanical plays based upon violence, traditional plays (köşe kapmaca, seksek, bezirgan başı, etc.) that have positive effects on our children’s development are included in the curriculum.
