Human Beings Only Exist With Their Rights

Human Rights and Democracy Week celebrations that took place at Marmara College on Friday, December 9, 2016 attracted great interest. The program, which included violence against women, child abuse, war and poverty, provided information on human rights violations in Turkey and in the world in the past year.

In the program, which was a continuation of the in-school informing activities since November 25, which is regarded as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the calendar leaves were worn as badges on which the information about the women who lost their lives due to male violence in Turkey.

Moreover, in the program, which was enriched with the posters prepared by the students and the empathy project named "Take a step for your rights," included many social experiments in Turkey and around the world. The event, which emphasized that democracy consciousness can be gained through citizenship consciousness, was ended with a mini concert.
