Maltepe University is the last link in the chain of successful education history of Marmara Education Institutions which started service in 1991 with the motto ‘From Kindergarten to University’. The University which was founded by İstanbul Marmara Education Foundation (İMEV) in 9 July 1997 in accordance with the law no. 4282 is the public entity subject to the principles of regulations on foundation and higher education institution of law no. 2547.

Maltepe University started education in 1997 by enrolling the students with additional placement after the foundation of the executive unit in the historical mansion in Feyzullah Street, Maltepe. Now our university offers educational services with 9 faculties, 3 institutes and a vocational school and contributes science in Turkey and world with its scientific researches and publications.

Our university has taken its place in Turkish University System by completing the institutionalization process with the distinguished and experienced academic and administrative staff.
