On May 10, 2017, Marmara College Science-Mathematics Department organized the 4th Microlab Contest with the motto of “Design an Experiment and Practice” with the purpose of enabling the students to practice 21st century’s competencies, use them in creativity and evaluate certain approaches.
In the contest participated by 36 teams from 20 middle schools in İstanbul, the teams consisting of three people wrote reports on the experiment that they designed and practiced with the materials they were given in an hour. As a result of the exciting contest, Çekmeköy Final Private Middle School came in first, Küçükprens Private Middle School came in second and Koç Private Middle School came in third. Sultan Abdülhamit Han Middle School had the “Encouragement” award, FMV Private Ispartakule Işık Middle School had the “Best Team” award and Hakkı Değer Middle School had the “Best Report” award.
