THE MARMARIANS AT ALPAĞUT VILLAGE IN SEBEN, BOLU

The students at Marmara Private College, Science High School and Anatolian Vocational High School went to Alpağut Village in Seben, Bolu within the scope of "Sustainable Life and Permaculture Practices Social Responsibility Project" carried out by eight schools in İstanbul collaboratively. A group of students consisting of 37 11th graders conducted agricultural practices in the village under the guidance of IB Geography teacher Sedat Toy in the fifth year of the project. Thanks to the opportunities provided by the District Governorate of Seben, the Municipality of Seben and Local Authorization of Alpağut Village the students carried out agricultural practices and had great experiences. Besides these practices the students had chance to see the natural beauties of Bolu, Yedigöller National Park, Abant Lake, Gölcük National Park and Seben rock houses. The students will continue the practices in next May.
