To Many 100th Anniversaries Çanakkale!

 18 March 2015... Today is the day when the ones cuddling up in the pages of the history made history, when the most bloody battle of the history converted into the biggest friendship, when the fate of a nation was recreated and the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Çanakkale. Çanakkale Victory is the struggle of the prestige and determination where there was a milestone for the world, the balance of power changed, Turkish Nation had determining role on the events, the first spark of our Independence War came up, the Noble Turkish Nation reached the top of bravery and devotion under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the chief commander.

The 100th Anniversary of 18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Day was celebrated at Marmara Education Institutions worthily to the 100th anniversary. The programme organized by Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School at Hasan Ali Yücel Conference Hall was commenced with the video where Murat Atıl recited the poem named ‘Çanakkale’ written by Bülent Ecevit. The School Choir consisting of 90 students of Marmara Private Elementary and Secondary schools enlivened the programme which was devoted to the martyrs who fought voluntarily when they were only 15 in order to save the land. Begüm Çakmakçılar, the student at Marmara Private College Prep A Class, İdil Türk student at Marmara Private College 9-A Class and Hazal Çıkar and Tuana Gürkan the students at Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School received appreciation of the audience with their proses and poems on their feelings about the martyrs at Çanakkale named “Çanakkale’de 15’li”, “Çanakkale’nin Hissettirdikleri”, “Ben…” and “Nasıl Anlatılır ki!” respectively. During the programme 100th anniversary posters prepared by the Marmarians at Marmara Private Anatolian Vocational High School were presented at the foyer area; and the programme was ended by the motto ‘How happy is s/he who can say I am a Turk’ after the Zeibek Show by folklore team consisting of 26 students.
