WORLD WATER DAY AT MEK

Upon the decision by the United Nations General Assembly in 1992, March 22 was designated as World Water Day in order to emphasize the importance of water. It has been celebrated since 1993. In line with this aim, various kinds of activities were organized in order to increase awareness of students about the decrease in water sources and increase in draught and to internalize the importance of water saving within the scope of Geography lesson. The panel named “World Water Day” including the topics “Importance of Water”, “Access to Clean Water”, “Water in Future”, “Drought and Its Results” was organized by the 10th grade students. After the panel, the songs written by the students having “Striking Messages” were sung.
